The Pinkerton Fellowship Initiative (PFI) holds two symposia each year focused on major topics of interest to youth justice policymakers, practitioners, and researchers. Symposia are designed to provide participants with essential skills and knowledge for understanding the concepts and policies that shape youth justice programs in New York City and to encourage interaction among participants and audience members.

The Center participates in PFI Symposia as part of its Graduate Fellowship Program. The first two symposia were held on December 6, 2012 and April 18, 2013.
