Film Series
The film series was designed to serve the broader prison community, who are hungry for intellectual stimulation. It’s part of the Prison-to-College Pipeline’s effort to add to the intellectual life of prisons, more generally, where men are eager to keep learning–whether in a formal college program or not. It’s also part of our effort to have a visible CUNY presence in correctional facilities, which spurs interest in higher education.
The following films are featured in the 2012-2013 Academic Year: Life & Debt by Stephanie Black, Kinyarwanda by Alrick Brown, Thunder in Guyana by Suzanna Wasserman, and Black and Blue: Legends of the Hip Hop Cop by Dr. Baz Dreisinger.
